Installed Borla axle back on my Bullitt.
First off- I think the Bullitt exhaust is the nicest factory exhaust I have heard.
But I wished they were just a bit louder- but you're never going to get that from a factory exhaust.
I heard a sound clip of an 08 Bullitt with a Borla exhaust system and I thought is sounded great.
So I had a set installed on my car today and there is just a huge difference in loudness over the stock mufflers.
It sounds like a different car- it still has that throaty burble, and it still sounds like a 60's muscle car. But it's much louder and more aggressive sounding.
I'm very pleased with the result.

re: drone
At this point in time I haven't really noticed any drone. My concerns regarding drone were in 4th and 5th gear- I don't want to be in those crusing gears and really hear much of anything, and so far the Borla's quiet out nicely in those gears. Although the exhaust still sounds louder than the Bullitt does in 4th or 5th.

I've been driving it a bit more today and tonight and it feels like a different car. You feel like you're driving an old 60's muscle car- except that it handles much better
And this may be my imagination but the car feels more powerful- I'm sure the Borla frees up some extra HP and while it shouldn't be enough to truly feel....I seem to be feeling it.

Interested in the Borla's to replace the stock setup in my 08 GT/CS Vert.
Where did you buy your Borla Axle backs from and how much did you pay?
Got any sound clips you wish to share?
Thanks

Sound's like my Bullitt! The longtube headers made it sound a little louder. I am for sure going to install the ford racing shorty's as soon as I can! My ford racing Axle-backs was the best mod I've done so far!
