Guess: Your Bullitt starting price is...
I'm going to come in about where LBJay is. 3k upgrade pakage added to a 29k car for about 33k. There's only one way we can as consumers make the AMV sticker go away and that is JUST SAY NO! I've always had my doubts about large company boycots working, but if everybody refused to buy from the dealers that try to get people to pay that, they'd cave in real fast. They still have them on the GT's for crying out loud. That was the first thing I told my dealer, and the salesman said "don't worry about that, no ones paying that on GT's". I guess they gotta try just for the occasional idiot that has more dollars than sense.
It doesn't have to be, the Mustang has no real competition until the Camaro comes out. Still the cheapest stock 0-60 and power money can buy. 05 mustang gts still go for 20 and above....
I ordered my 07 GT/CS with what I wanted with 3500 off msrp....4-6 week delivery....my next choices were 335 coupe for 45 grand, fully loaded rx8 for 35 grand, g35 coupe, 38 grand.....
Easy choice if money is an issue. Plus the GT/CS is cooler than all of those combined IMO.
The 2008 Bullitt might show up on dealer lots & ebay with the following price structure:
$27,020 Mustang GT Premium Coupe
......$50 Wheel Locks
..$1,295 Shaker 1000 (dealer picked option)
..$1,895 Bullitt Prep Package
.....$745 Destination
..$4,995 Bullitt Performance Package
..$1,000 Gas Guzzler Tax
..$2,500 Dealer Markup
$39,500 Dealer MSRP
A few assumptions are made: First, dealers or regional reps will pre-order some Bullitts with options they choose like satellite radio, navigation or shaker 1000 audio. Second, with a limited run, dealers will try to get over sticker rather than discount the car. Third, with the engine recalibration & 3.73 axle ratio, this car probably will incur a gas guzzler tax.

Same price as a comparably equipped SGT? Only if it's got more hp than the SGT and from what we've recently heard, it looks like it's going to be 310hp.
I'm thinking it will be priced halfway between the GT/CS ($30K base price) and the premium SGT ($38K base price) or a MSRP of $34K before options/ADM.
EDIT: Just reread this thread and realized I said pretty much the same thing on 14 May
I've recalculated up $500 based on 2008 pricing info.

I read on imboc, $3500 for 54B pkg. That, plus the GT Premium 140A MSRP($27,765 per kbb), so = $31,265 ($33,141 w/6% sales tax)...
So, call it $33 OTD...(assuming no ADMs of course)...
(edited for dest/del chgs included in kbb's est)
