Looks fairly plain, but bear in mind the production version will likely have more badging and chrome. You'd leave stuff like that (which don't effect vehicle dynamics) off to avoid attention, but they add alot to the finished product. I'm still betting on a chrome surround for the grille at least, wouldn't be hard...

It's going to look good...just like a regular GT, only green with some little add ons.
Slightly more than a PonyPackage/ GT/CS package
Coulda been so much more ...
I'll wait till the redesign or a Mach1/BOSS

I think the Bullitt will largely be an "appeal" package by the looks of it, playing on the emotions of Bullitt fans. It won't have too much over a regular GT but just enough to make it different and be a so-called S/E. It'll be up to those who buy it to make it a true sleeper using whatever aftermarket parts they want to get the desired level of performance it should've had from the factory.
Ford really could have done something extra special with this model. But it's still early and maybe Ford will surprise us ( I hope!!) when they finally release the car. I'm sure it'll certainly look as cool as Steve McQueen either way. The '01 had a lot of little things that separated the car from the regular GT's and made it very unique in a lot of ways. I hope Ford goes the extra step with the '08 and does it totally "right".

It will be interesting to hear the exhaust, see what the gear changes and intake do, and how the interior dash panel looks.

It's pretty much what i expected as well, i can't tell in the picture if those wheels are gray or black though? Also in reponse to those asking about the HP war with the Camaro, it's true that the 2008 will not be able to compete unless it's supercharged. Ford will most likely have a new engine for 2009 though, GM will probably put an LS3 in the Camaro as the base V8, if they do, the 4.6L might as well be a focus.

LS 3 will be for the SS package at about the same MSRP as a Shelby 500.

And last time I checked Airwolf, the Camaro is still over a year and a half away from the showrooms at least. Heck, we haven't even seen ANY prototypes driving around. Nothing at all.

eh, all this talk about the Bullitt is supposed to be understated...
there's a difference between subtle and boring, and i think this design (if this is indeed what we'll be getting) is one foot over the line on the side of narcoleptic...
the 01's are, imho, one of the two or three sexiest Mustangs ever built. yes, they are lacking of eye-catching add-ons, but they are chock full of model-specific pieces and parts that when combined, might not necessarily make an immediately identifiable limited production Mustang, like say a Mach1 or a Terminator Cobra. But once it sinks in that oh yeah, that one's got no spoiler, no side scoops, nice sail panels, those rocker panels kick butt... - hey wait a minute! that's a Bullitt!!! that thing is SICK!!!
achieving that kind of reaction should have been Ford's ultimate goal in redesigning the 2008 Bullitt. instead they've achieved the "THAT's IT?? THAT'S the BULLITT??" reaction... that's not good.
