Bullitt Movie Remake?

If there were to be a remake of the Steve McQueen 1968 classic "Bullitt" who would you like to portray Frank Bullitt.

One of my top choices is "The Dead Zone's" Anthony Michael Hall.

He looks a lot like McQueen and his character on the Dead Zone is similar to Frank Bullitt.

Even though he is a Brit, I would like to see Guy Pearce (Memento, The Time Machine). He could pull it off with no problem.

Craig would be GREAT, but after Bond, I think it would be too difficult for people to accept him in another law enforcement/tough guy hero type role.

Anthony Michael Hall actually isn't a bad choice physically. Whether or not he has the acting chops to carry a movie like that is another story. Moot point anyway, as he doesn't have enough star power to toplist a remake of Bullitt. They would go with an established "movie presence."

Which is also a moot point, as there is no remake planned at this time.

I don't think they would need anyone that looks like steve mcqueen.

The person would be playing Frank Bullitt not Steve Mcqueen. Anyone that can protray the persona of the character would be good.

I think I could portray a good Lt. Frank Bullitt.

After all, I must have watched the movie a hundred times and the chase at least 10,000 times.
And I've got two worn out DVDs to prove it.

I heard a rumor awhile back about a bullitt remake. Brad Pitt's name was in there.

It was never anything more than a rumor; and it now appears to be dead.
