I am GM guy that just happened by a Ford dealer with a Chevy dually crew cab I've been trying to sell for 6 months to look at the Bullitt out front. One thing led to another and they paid off my truck and I drove home with the Bullitt. I've owned several 4th gen Trans Ams and wasnt really planning to buy today, but the offer on my truck was so good that I couldnt turn it down. Its a fine car and I put it in the garage so I wouldnt be tempted to drive it and/or bond to it because I cant afford it. Hopefully, someone, somewhere will be looking for a black Bullitt for a couple grand under sticker. Located in SE MI.

You are probably right by not driving the Bullitt . You've tortured yourself all those years driving what others call a good product. Now to drive a better car would be too much of a shock! Be brave! Be the first in your neighborhood to find out what others need to know ---- friends don't let friends drive GM !

Its a much nicer driving car than my harsh in your face 99 WS6 Trans Am. Maybe I'll sell the TA and get a Procharger for it. The Bullitt is pretty tame at 315hp, but another 150hp and it would be a real beast. Then I can surprise my buddys when they get their new LS3 Camaros.

I am happy for ya
I had a Very fast 2007 Mustang Gt Automatic , it was a 12 sec 1/4 mile car It was HOT!!!!!!!
I shouldn't of bought it because of the Auto! So I decided to get a 08 mustang stick to replace it.
My family didn't want me to take a step down, so I bought a Bullitt. The other thing it had to have is a shaker 1000!
Now that I bought the Bullitt and use to own a 2007 Mustang GT auto. I can say there is a big difference between the handling. and the comfort!

again
Congrats!!!!

You bought a car you can't afford to get a good price on your truck? Or did I interpret this post wrong?

Well if you had a GT that could do a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds you definitely took a step down!! What were your mods on the GT?

Alum drive shaft, roush udp, classic shacker, C&L intake, Slp long tube headers,Slp Xpipe ,Slp high flow Cats, FR 4.10, Dyno tuned at 295 rwhp and 320rwtq.
The Bullitt is much more of a car and far as a step down, Anyone can buy a Mustang Gt not everone can buy Bullitt!
I get a supercharge on this beast I will be hard to beat!

But wouldn't a supercharged GT with other mods similar to the bullitt be just as fast? I'm asking this in all seriousness - my understanding of the whole thing is limited and I really want to know

I'm asking this because I keep thinking heck, assuming the same gears etc, if you have a supercharger what's the difference if you start with 300HP or 315HP, the end result is going to peak where it's going to peak no matter what you started with, right? Or not. That's why I'm asking....

Lynda: Yep! I just changed the monkey on my back. I have a 2007 Silverado 2500 which replaced the 06 Silverado 3500. I have made 7 payments of over $700 each on the 06 without driving it and I have been trying to sell it since November 07. After investing $5000 in the old truck, I sure didnt want it to get repoed. The Ford dealer offered WAY more than any of the 30 other dealers I had been to during the week, so I traded it in on the Bullitt. The bank isnt calling me anymore and my first Stang payment isnt due for 30 days. Now if that kid that looked at my 99 TA could get a loan...

Ah OK I see, "creative financing" I hope it all works out so you can keep the bullitt, it really IS a joyous car!! And you're right about not driving it if you're not sure you're going to keep it - it's definitely addictive!

I need to get down to 1 car and 1 truck and I am also leasing a 2007 Grand Prix. So it looks like the Bullitt and the Trans Am have to go...unless my brother is willing to assume the GP lease. Then I can sell the TA, get out of that payment and I could swing the Bullitt payment. I've got to cover up that Bullitt in the garage so these thoughts of keeping it go away. If I cant see it, I cant admire it.

I think I know what you are asking. Yes the end result would be the same. But the Bullitt has the upgraded suspension. no in less all the interior up grades
