2009 Bullitts confirmed today by Ford
It's official: Bullitt continues into the 2009 model year, as do the GT500, GT500KR, Warriors in Pink, V6 Appearance, and California Special. This may just upset a few people, while making many others very happy that their favorites will still be a choice from Ford.
The official word came via Ford's 2009 Mustang and GT500 Ordering Guides dated 3/19/08.

Agreed, is the MY09 Bullitt just a continuation of the original 7K allotment for the US? Or, will this mean another allotment quantity?
Would love to have a few more months to save up some additional $$ for down payment and still be able to order one...

Probably their sales goals fell short because of the unforseen dent in the economy. With the investment already made, Ford needs to realize better sales of these models.

I think the production rate, along with pending introduction of the refresh early next year, contributed to the total unit run going into the shorter '09 model year.

Maybe someone in my town will finally get one. I've seen 3 GT500's, 2 Black SGT's, 1 PJ Saleen, and still have not seen a Bullitt in person. There are two 2001 Bullitts in town, both green. That's not bad for a town of 50,000.

Makes me glad I didn't wait and wait and wait for a SE! The GT/CS is nice enough but just cosmetic and the Bullitt isn't much more. I'd been upset had a waited a couple years for a 350hp SE and ended up with this laid at my feet!

Well I guess that sucks for someone wanting a 1 year only production. I guess the Mineral Grey is the only 1 year only car/color in the S197 platform so far!

None that I've heard, and I've got a contact within Ford that usually calls me when he hears about Mustang secrets. Of course, my contact's contacts within Ford might be withholding info from him!
More importantly, though, it's looking like 2009 will just be a carryover of 2008 and rather short as the 2010 Mustang is supposed to start production in January 2009.

Perhaps the '09 Bullitt will have a 5.4, 6-spd, double vented hood, and factory side window louvers?
I'd bet it would be an emotional and expressive reception by the '08 owners.
