Y'know, I bet the owners of all those 69-70 Machs feel the same way about you. Besides If Ford is doing a new Bullitt why would they forget about a cash cow like the Mach.

Ok with me if they don't make another Mach. I've already "built" my own.

The only thing that will ruin the value of your car is if you don't take care of it, which being a Mach 1 enthusiast, I am fairly certain will not happen!

As someone mentioned earlier, people anywhere along the way in the long lineage of Mach 1s between 1969 and 1978 could say the same thing about the '03 & '04s.

As much I enjoy my '03, I am very glad that Ford did not take that line of thinking.

Still speculation, of course, but perhaps we will!

As an 1969 owner, I will never worry about the value of my car going down. Futhermore I am very very excited about the idea of a new Mach1 ... if they do it right. Thats what I am holding my breath about and I have at least another year to save money.

If they do not produce ... back to a corvette or a cayman ... we shall see

See, thats my point, people shouldn't worry about the value/rarity of thier cars (cars as an investment are probably only little better than buying milk from cows rasied exclusively on grain grown near Chernobyl) and should just enjoy them for what they are. So what if Ford produces a new Mach (then again if the current SE mindset prevails, it will be little more than another variation composed of FRPP bin parts with some fancy stickers slapped on and a meager 15 to 20 hp increase in rated HP over the GT) it will be as different from the last car as the last car was different from the original Machs (for anybody who has an SN95 or New Edge car, you owe it to yourself to test drive the current car, the difference is perceptible).

Hey Mark, your garage must look a bit like mine. With the 03 Mach 1 and the wife's 07 V6 w/Pony Package and automatic.

I'm impressed by the 03-04 Mach 1 staying power. I looked into getting one in Dec 03 when they could be had, brand new, for $22-23K. I still see them listed for this price today.

They are great no doubt.
An even bigger surprise, is seeing how well the 05+ are holding their value compared to the Sn95s
Seems to be better than it used to be.
