My wife tells me in a TV commericial just aired here in the Sacramento, Ca. region. Ford is supposedly releasing a special limited run "Mustang Cobra". Only 400 to be built en total.

 

So should I wait by the phone, the tv, or go sleep at the dealer? There are many packages coming and so forth.

Has anyone seen a firm number for how many Snakes will be built? Also, does anyone have info/link to info regarding the price of the SS kit for your Cobra (including price).

I'm hoping the SS and KR will decrease the price of the Cobra, but that might be a stretch.

 

Sounds like the Grabber Shelby GT's (just the advertising people screwed up the name, by calling it a Cobra).

 

Super Snake will be made this year and next for sure, not sure if they are limiting production or not. Cost of the SS conversion is $28k. The SS will not a be a dealer sold car to my knowledge. You have to buy you're own Shelby then send it to one of the mod shops to have the SS conversion done. However the SS will be a lot more car than the KR and for less money.

 

It's a good thing the SS won't be a dealer sold car, as I can see them doing their best impression of Austin Powers when talking about price..."One millllllllllion dollars."

So if you score a Cobra for $50K and you add the SS package for $28K, That's $78K. Kinda makes it seem silly then to see these dealers selling their Cobra's right now for $65-$70K.

+1 It's a formidable machine from what SVT been telling me.

SAI informs me they will start with 1000 of the SS and possibly go to 3k. If sales are good, they may go up more.

KRs are set at 1000 only. My Dealer has one coming and expect it to sell for 110k.
