This does not look like a Ford part, so, i would guess that Shelby either made it themselves or this is an aftermarket peice? Does anyone know if this scoop is available?

 

It looked pop riveted on to me in the pictures so it might just be a prototype piece with something more "professional" looking coming along later?

 

It appears to be "pop-riveted" for a purpose. It is apparently a faithful reproduction of the original hood scoop from the Shelby Cobra.

I would prefer a cleaner look myself.

 

It's kind of strange that they didn't design a similar scoop to the 65/66 era GT350's. The pop riveted scoop is like you mentioned, similar to the Cobra.

 

You are correct sir. I just saw that mentioned in a magazine that the hoodscoop was lifted from the cobra. Good call.

 

If they were building a modern A/C Cobra, it would look great. It looks terrible on a Mustang. And it looks even worse in person.

 

A non functional scoop that is pop riveted in....How cute.....I wonder if it's really pop riveted in or the " rivets" are just for show too.......Don't give Shelby anymore of your hard earned money.......Just buy a GT....same thing.
