You act as if you know something the rest of us do not. why not save us the time and effort?? and I can assure you that these talk Forums are not my only source of information. if anything, they are a source of ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!! whether they build 6000 or more remains to be seen. the Boss says 6000. some others close to the deal I know have also told me that number for a variety of reasons. the Hertz project was 500 cars. that set the bar for how long it takes to convert that many vehicles. also how many parts are required to do this project. Parts suppliers need to know ahead of time just how many pieces they need to produce before they make them. assuming that you remotely understand where I am heading with this, maybe you can grasp the theory that due to Time limitations and Parts availibility, 6000 cars is what they CAN do!

BLK, I am not sure what info you have, but I can tell you that the number could be less, but it will never be more then 6000. Ford wanted more, up to 10K, but that was with an original start in Aug 2006.We are at max to make more. and we haven't even gotten what we were supposed to get in December.

2007 Mustang production ends in June/July 2007, That would be 6-7 months production tops
our production is 240 a week , That is 6000 at the most. And that is with full production starting tomorrow.

Not sure why you believe more, unless your thinking of the possible 08 Shelby GT or maybe months ago Mark Fields and us posted it was "up to 10K". But that was in August, before we were delayed till january 07 and the new calibration. Originally we were to start in August, if that had happened, we could have done more.

So, if you have more info, please share it with me. because if we are going to do more, I think I need to know
