Shelby GT's for 31,995
I thought I would post this in case anybody is still looking. Honestly, Im not sure if this is a good price or not. I bought my mustang from these guys and they are the second largest mustang dealers on the planet. Or at least thats what they say. Its a HUGE dealership. Maybe if nothing else, it may help someone haggle with their dealer.

The dealer had a $5K ADM when it came off the truck months ago and were adamant in sticking to it. It might have been sold for MSRP when it was hot had they not been so greedy. My local dealer has one with an a/t and still asking a little over $45K. Ford of Ocala has four with two '07s in stock, one black one white, and Santa Fe Ford has a black one.
Shelby Autos did good in getting their money up front.

If the 08s come down to that price, I am getting one. After reading all the issues people are having with the 07s over on the Team Shelby site, I'd really rather have the 08. Also, I like the blue better. I did a search for a specific 08 with certain options and came up with over 500 nationwide in stock. I'm hoping there are leftovers at great deals. That might be the only thing to pry me out of my GT.

The two '08s I saw at Ford of Ocala (a 5-spd coupe and a vert with a/t) had defects on the hood stripes around the hood scoop and the front grilles were not properly alligned.

I have tried 3 times to buy cars from Brandon Ford and they wanted $20,000.00 over for a GT500 in Dec. When I bought mine for Msrp.In 05 same thing with adm. Ihave sent over 30 off my customers their for trucks and suv and they been the best.

Actually, I was just referring to the wavy hood scoop issues on the 07 SGTs, and the "fixes" that have been tried, and failed. I don't see why Shelby didn't just use the Ford scoop from the GT appearance package. At least it fit well. My other issues with the 07s are the hood pins and the grille overlay. Not necessarily problems, but the 08s are a nice improvement with billet pins and a full grille. I also like the Vista Blue color and the Shelby serial number on the door sill plates. With no 09 SGTs planned, one has to wonder what will be produced by Shelby next year?

The 2007 Shelby was/is indeed nice, but way overpriced. Especially with all the problems they had in the upfitting process: Stripes, hood scoop, hood pins, grille overlay, exhaust rattles, emblems falling off, etc. Sadly, almost everything they touched became problematic later on. But I think they addressed those areas of concern in the new 2008 Shelby GT. If you could pick one of the '08's up for 32K, that would be a good deal. I was actually interested in the 2007 Shelby GT, but am glad I waited for the 2008 Bullitt. Much better car overall, built and backed by Ford, and a great value too!

I would probably jump on an 08 SGT at anything under $35k. I think $32k is a bit much to hope for, at least for a new one. Used, no problem. Bullit would be much easier to get at that price, as Mr. Shelby hasn't touched it. I do really like the Bullit (except the dash), but unfortunately I've got this "Shelby-fetish-kinda-thing". I can only cross my fingers that there are leftover unwanted 08s lying around this summer like we now have the 07s. I hope the bottom falls right out of the Shelby market. That way regular people can get GT500s, I can get a great deal on a SGT, and Shelby will be encouraged to come up with even neater products to keep business going. There will always be a market for his stuff, and they'll never be common, but I just can't spend a fortune to get one.
