actually when i said why would you...i ment everyone in general, i didn't call anyone names....And if they are reproductions of the classic ones then stick em on the classic they belong on. sorry but i am a purist...but i have to say there are alot of people junkin up their brand new stangs thats fine, i'll laugh on the inside...well maybe on the outside 2

Hey everyone the reason behind these badges is because back in the day "Shelby American" was a manufacturer they issued MSO’s (Manufacturer Statements of Origin). Shelby American used Ford engines in the Cobras so the "Power by Ford" badges where away of letting folks know these were "Fords" in that sense.
Also, Shelby American was the first American “Manufacturer” to win an F.I.A. World Manufacturers Championship, Cobras and Daytona Coupes, “Powered by Ford”, beating Eno and his Ferrari ‘s. Ford would win this title in coming years but with Shelby American redesigning and preping GT-40's MKI, MK II etc......
<OThen Ford wanted Shelby to homologate the Mustang for the SCCA B Production Class so the cars came in were “remanufactured and homologated as Shelby American G.T. 350’s for the SCCA so there’s the reason for the powered by Ford on the valve covers on the G.T. 350.<O</O<O</O
