New Shelby GTs below MSRP
I understand these are just GT's with some cosmetics and FRPP's, but I am really surprised the demand dropped off so quickly. The dealer I drive by STILL has his SGT and it is number 166. These seem to be as close as you can get to a 60's Shelby GT-350 -- similar mods, similar cosmetics, and they are done in Shelby's shop. I really thought the demand would be high for a long time.
this may tell you something about its future value as well.....I think if the name was different...ahem (GT350)...it would be different. Its just confusing. Now...if a GT350 is in the future, then it makes sense, but if a GT350 is never made, Shelby blew the opportunity for crazy sales with this car IMO.

You know, what would be nice is if they sold the Shelby GT package without the Shelby name on it, as an option package on the regular GT.... I'm sure the price would be a lot lower without the name.
DUDE....Thats what I thought was going to happen when FRPP came out with all of those packeges...I thought they were going to be factory options. But it never happened. Why would ford not at least offer them?
Well I head to Mass tomorrow to pick up my Shelby GT. No not church Mass George, the state Mass!
After months of waiting and screwing around with my dealer I gave up and then decided to buy one again and finally found someone willing to work a deal. I have cnahged my mind more than a woman or AFBlue
I tried like hell to work out somethig with my dealer but got tired of waiting. I didnt want to get left out in the cold when the thing finally came in and then he didnt want to play ball. Oh well, I tried. Ill let you guys know how it rides tomorrow. Pics will be a little longer. I havent even tried to post any on here yet so Ill have to learn how

DEAL!!!! I picked her up Sunday and was out of the dealer by noon. The guy I dealt with, who was the owner actually, made the process awesome. They open at noon on Sunday and he met me there early and had everything done in under an hour. It was great. I had been looking forward to watching my car come of the car hauler and arrive and get pics and all that experience but when I couldnt get a deal done with my normal place I was bummed but Chris at Family Ford in Chicopee Ma made up for it. Best of all for me was that my 2 sons rode down with me. My oldest son is 16 and got his license last fall so he drove the other car back to Maine. Had I gotten the car at my local dealer they would have been in school and not gone with me so this actually was better and will be that much more memorable. We had fun driving back following each other and then went for a ride when we got home. I have been on cloud 9 since I got her so I havent posted yet. I think I got #1279 but have to check again. I usually remember that stuff real well but I guess the excitement is bringing on alzheimers
The car is awesome. I couldnt be happier. All the crap I went through the last few months is now worth it. It sounds awesome and drives great. I am getting used to driving a stick again so that is a hoot! I will have pics soon

The smile hasnt left my face either! And if anyone is interested in one of these cars let me know. I have been talking with a few dealers that are selling melow MSRP. One has serial #22 on his floor right now at $1400 below MSRP. And another has 4 or 5 cars due in soon at $500 over invoice. The tide is changing
