New Shelby GTs below MSRP
I'd previously discussed seeing Shelby GTs on ebay in the upper $30Ks. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...597#post879597
Now I see salesmen on Shelby autos forum selling them for under MSRP. Tower Ford and Wayne Morris Ford.

I'm somewhat surprised to see this so soon after they started showing up at dealerships.

Still, as Kevinb120 points out here http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...ack#post838044
Every MSRP Shelby GT sale is approx a $3K profit.

I applaud the fact that they are not stickin it to public like most dealers are!!! At least not as bad as some are!!!

There has been a white Shelby GT sitting on the lot for over a month near me. Shelby GT #166. When it came in, they wanted $15,000 over sticker for it. I stopped by yesterday to look at it and without asking, the sales guy said to ignore the markup, they would sell it for MSRP.

So maybe the predictions are going to come true!! If you don't have to be the first guy on the block to have one then you will get a good deal down the road!!!

They make more money at the end of the fiscal period when for gives them rebate money and free cars the next yr, etc... The more cars they push the more they get at a later date. Otherwise how could xplans etc be accepted and dealerhips able to play around with pricing? never ever pay msrp, mine came out well below innvoice.

Not really...
Someone posted a great breakdown of the parts and the shop labor charges and the difference was $3500 or something. This was an apples to apples of course and doesn't count any GT discounts.
Having said that it was also pointed out that the SGT will hold it's value better than a GT with Mods which usually don't count for very much, and add the "Shelby" piece of history etc., and for some of us it's not too high at when at MSRP. In person it's truly beautiful car and I've seen/had a lot of Mustangs in my day.
You may think it is, and that's fine, it's your money, but there are few thousand of us that don't think that's the case.

That was me. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=63003
I need to update it though. I had "Powered by Ford" fender badges estimated at $40. They are selling on ebay for $49. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=63284

I'm still playing the odds that the cars are going to become more reasonable down the road. Maybe a good clean used one!!! I'm not picky!!!

Shelby GT on EBAY observation
Watched a new one on E-Bay the other night, Buy It Now at 39,990 (about $800 over sticker), no takers, high offer was 35,601, didn't sell, look like demand is soft to me.
