Need photoshop help on Shelby GT front bumper please.

I had a slight mishap with my car a few weeks ago, and had to send it to the body shop to repair the stripes in the front bumper. Well, needless to say, they messed them up a small bit. Up close they aren't perfectly measured out. I went back to get the shop manager to see the mistake and schedule a time to bring the car back to get it corrected. Well, lets say, that he didn't see what I (and his boss, the owner) saw, and walked away. So, the owner has me bring it back on Monday to fix. This has gotten me thinking of just changing the entire cover out from the stock GT cover with a CDC Classic Chin, to a GT/CS-Shelby GT cover but with a twist....the spot where its normally black in the middle, would also be painted blue, and the stripes would continue down.

This is where I need help. Over in the GT/CS-SGT-GT500 conversion thread, there is only 1 car in the 21 pages of this post that has the lower center section painted, and that car is Torch Red. I was hoping someone could take the picture of a Shelby GT I got from ebay, that I posted below, and do a quick photochop. Add blue to the center part of bumper, add stripes to the lower section, and change the color of the stripes from silver to white stripes. This way, I can see if it would look good or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't know the 1st thing with photoshop.

05fordgt, here are a couple of pics of mine that might be easier for someone to photoshop. I don't know much about it, but I've heard it's easier to work with bigger higher resolution pics. Hope it helps. If not, I can get you some more when the light is better (these are kind of dark).

AWESOME LOOKING!!! Thanks Starfire!!! I really appreciate the help!!! That is exactly what I was looking for. Now that I know how it looks, I just have to measure the width of the lower section, to see if the stripes will fit on the flat spot (which I believe they will). If they do, I'm ordering the bumper Monday.

Maybe this was a prototype but this one has the bottom painted to match, notice it also has stock GT emblems. I believe this was a photo released straight from Ford also.

Thanks for the pic Starfire. I totally forgot about that shot. It was a pre-production car, before they decided to add the "Powered by Ford" fender emblems, and change the bumper to the normal GT/CS style, with the center blacked out. That gives me a great idea now. Only thing I would do different, is to not paint the two small vertical plastic pieces between the upper and lower bumper. I'd keep them black.

I actually thought about painting the front diffuser and rear bumper to match the body color, but then I added the black stripes and decided I like the black/red theme I've got going on.

That should look pretty darn good, though! Be sure to post pics!

Not a problem. Only tricky part will be for the painters to MAKE SURE that when they lay the tape down on the bumper to make sure they measure out properly. Reason being, my stripes are 10" wide, with a 2" gap. That is a total of 22" in width needed to mask off. The width on the bottom part isn't perfectly flat that whole distance. At the outer edge, the curve comes into play. So they have to make sure the fineline tape (or whatever they use), is straight while covering up a curved area. Probably going to get this done, maybe by Carlisle, maybe after. I'll have the bumper ordered but just getting into the shop may be tricky, with them getting busy. It will look cool, and I can't wait.
