thank you as well!!
so my conclusion....the shelby GT is not worth the money!!
i can do JLT 2 cai, tune, frpp h-pipe, frpp gta axle back, steeda pullies...and get around 340hp flywheel!!!!!
suspension is not expensive to do either..

From a strict cost/performance ratio, yes, you can build a faster car for less money.
But the Shelby name has undeniable value. Whether it has THAT much value, that's up to the individual. It IS a nice package and they will ALWAYS get looks. And I'm sure the production run will sell out quickly - my guess is that cars will soon start selling at list.
Peronally, I liked the GTH I rented, but did not feel the Shelby GT was the right vehicle for me, especially considering it could NOT be equipped with some of the options I wanted. Also, I didn't want some of the "features" provided (scoops, grille, color choice). And paying ADM is also against my religion. When I buy a car, the dealer needs to be calculating the OTHER way.
But that's the beauty of Mustangs - if you don't care for what's offered, it's easy to build what you want.

hi davisinla,
sorry that i was redundant and thanks for the info
for me, i needed to have crimson interior
then year end incentive/rebates made the shelby gt far out of price range
i can get my GT exactly the way i want it for $8-9K less than a shelby GT.

The Shelby GT and GT-H actually have an FRPP X-Pipe installed in place of the stock H-Pipe along with the GTA's you mentioned. Also, none of the Mustangs come stock with headers, they are just exhaust manifolds.
