FRPP parts, limited number, nostalgia...I'm taking guesses but I'm betting at least one is right.

 

Well, my California Special is circa 1968, not the 2007, so there are a few differences.

You are the first I have heard that ordered an automatic. That is what I want also. Every Shelby GT I have seen so far on e-bay has been a manual. I wonder if SAI is going to work in the autos, or will they do a bunch of manuals first. Also since I want an Auto, I think I might have some bargining power while dealing on price. Did you?

 

Black, standard and will be getting a lot of mods from SA before it leaves.

 

There are plenty of Auto's at SAI now. Initial orders were for either 5spd or Auto, and I think most dealers ordered 5spds first.

Actually, Team is going to receive their first Auto in the next 3wks and Ford just gave me the ok to place another in the system (which was only to be an Automatic per Ford).

I picked up Shelby GT #507 on the 28th. Black 5-speed. So far, I absolutely love it. The exhaust slays me everytime I turn the key...

I like the way the car looks more everytime I see it...especially the lowered stance. Unfortunately, I haven't spent enough time driving an 05-07 GT to be able to truly compare the ride to one of those.

I just know I absolutely love my car. It's my daily driver...gonna be getting a LOT of road time.
