Like the title says, has anybody actually taken delivery of a Shelby GT yet? I'd love to hear how this car is performance-wise from someone other than Shelby employees and magazine reporters.

 

It will perform like any other GT with the FRPP handling pack and a CAI.

 

I have not received mine as of yet...but looking forward to it.

Do you have a VIN yet?

 

He doesnt. Verified with him yesterday afternoon. Also Brad knows someone else in this area who ordered one back in early dec last year and they havent gotten a VIN yet either.

 

That would be me. Ordered Nov 15. White automatic. Getting a little impatient!

 

Yes, as Scott said I still do not have a VIN as well. I would love the car but I could easily live with confirmation that the car is coming too.

 

I am picking up Team Fords Black unit today at 2pm from the Shelby Plant.

Did that already! I was at the plant last week and took some of the build, stock yard.....

Car drives great and has a cool exhaust note.

Is Team Ford getting repairs like Friendly Ford is? There were 5 (that I saw) at Friendly yesterday, one black one on the showroom floor, one white one without the grill, and three more black ones in the back lot in various stages of completion. 2 had stripes, one of those had the hood and suspension already, and the third one was plain black with some dents on the trunk (or trunck as the windshield said). I drove up to the staging lot last weekend also, there sure are a lot there, along with 2 GT500's that I saw.

I put pics in the Shelby hood scoop thread earlier today.

 

My dealer just got one in like that and is asking $53,000!

 

Team is selling theirs tonight.

I am the other guy that Brad knows from our area that has ordered the Shelby GT. Well, yesterday, I received word that mine has been scheduled for production the week of March 12. So maybe yours is not far behind! Now I need to sell my California Special to make room in the garage!

 

My dealer got one this week. I may take some pics today.
