GT-H at local small town Hertz.
I thought the GT-H was only going to the larger markets, but a friend told me he thought he saw one today, then someone else who works at the airport said they did in fact get one in. The population here is only about 65K so I have no idea how or why they got it.
I drove by after work, but it wasn't there.

That's what I was thinking. What if you wanted to rent it and drive it to an area where they had a Hertz car rental but wasn't in a large market? I think it would be hard for them to all wind up back at the airports.

well i know the indianapolis airport hertz declined the car they were supposed to be one of the major cities to get them, but did not want to take on the liability.
now i want to know what its going to take to buy one after they go on sale

I saw one headed in the opposite direction yesterday in Pensacola, Florida. I about broke my neck trying to get a better look at it. Pensacola is a very tiny market, so I was really surprised to see it.

I stopped by and saw one of them and I have to agree they look better in person. I wasn't too impressed when the first pics came out, but I really liked what I saw.
BTW, it was parked behind the building and had a guys personal effects in it. Yep. That one won't be rented... at least not for a while.

Hey guys I'm hiring a GT-H tomorrow (8/22/2006) in Orlando, FL. They had 3 down at the airport when I landed, and availability seemed good. $94/day base price (before tax + insurance), but only 75 miles, additional miles $0.39/mile).
The Hertz guy that showed me around the car said there are clones in the market already, but that Shelby were keeping the hood to themselves to stop cloning. Not sure if that's true or not, could just be rumour.
I will post pics on my website http://www.stangs.co.uk/ (see right column for latest news) once I've processed the pics.

Clones? LOL. That's funny since there were plenty of black & gold new Mustangs running around before they even thought of doing the GT-H.
Nothing special about the hood. It can easily be ordered from Shelby.
Are you sure that guy wasn't a car salesman?
