Have GT/CS Vista Blue vert on order. Going to have the Lincoln Navagator "champagine" or pearl ( the color) stripe put on it after market (Painted not stick on). Question I have, Do I go with the La Mans style 2 stripe, the three stripe what I knew as a kid as " racing stripes" or another option? I am open on this.

 

Great news on your order! The car is pretty awesone! No opinion on the stripes though.

 

95 percent of the stripes Ive seen on the s197 are of the Le Mans style. They definitely look great (see the stripe thread in this site for evidence), but if you're open to something different, go ahead and try it.

Another cool style is the single stripe, offset on the hood, directly in front of the driver. Ive seen that with very thin stripes on either side of the single wide stripe, and it looks really good too.

 

thanks, checked out the stripe thread, kinda leaning towards a 10" to 12" with a 2' gap. the single one sounds good too. the one I remember as a kid in the late 60's was kinda like a 2 or 3" with a 1" gap then a 12" stripe followed by the gap and stripe agian. like tire tracks on the road. I could see the single stripe in front of the driver in flat black to cut glare, but I like the shine
