O.K ,,,here I go again,,what is the need for this,really.it says,,,,,these rear axle reservoirs were only installed as a orgiginal equipment for the 2008-09 Shelby GT 500KR's ,,They are used to prevent rear axle oil burping which occurs under road racing,,price is $ 129.99 at the ShelbyStore.com,,,,,,![Name: 8R3V-4022-KR-2.jpg

I found that hard launches at the track were causing oil to come out of the rear axle vent. It was covered back there. That is a better looking solution than mine - I simply took the vent cap apart and used a hose to extend the length of the vent up and zip tied it to a frame rail. No more oil spray now.

Got the Shelby tank on my GT, works great. Just wish it didn't cost so much. Better than puking diff fluid onto my race tires, though.

Yes.
One side came with a hose attached and the other side has nothing on it (the fitting in the right of your picture). And in looking at the instructions they never mention doing anything to other fitting.
