Shelby GT Fog Bezel

Good morning TMS,

Been doing a lot of research on the Shelby GT GT/CS lower fog bezel.

Well it looks like there might be a 2nd chance for us. Between Jim B and I we are looking into if these are still in the works. Looks like you can pre-order and they are on the Carolshelbyracing website.

https://www.carrollshelbyracing.com/...ONLY%29.html#/

Worth a look if you've every been interested.

Cheers

Nemi

I received an email from the founder and president of Carrol Shelby Racing this morning. These fog light / brake duct bezels have been produced and are ready to ship.
I know that in the past a lot of Shelby Gt and California Special owners have been looking for these. You need to source your own lights but that should not be that big of an issue.

Also,

there is a winter coupon of 10% when you first get on their site. It's not huge but it does cover shipping for the most part.

I submitted an order and will follow up when they arrive.

Cheers and thanks for the follow up JimB.

So yesterday afternoon I spoke with Justin from Carrol Shelby Racing and he told me that they are using the PIAA LP530 lights with this bezel.

http://www.piaa.com/store/p/187-LP53...Light-Kit.aspx They can be found for much less that this. They are the same diameter and a little thicker than the lights that I used.

https://www.starkey-products.com/lux...-set-projector These are the lights that I used on my project. They are a great light and plug and play with the OE wiring and switch. As long as you get this connector.

https://www.starkey-products.com/mus...fornia-special These come very long. I sent mine back and had them shortened to 13 inches. Best thing to do is call them to order and tell them how long you want it. I sent mine back and they only charged me 5 dollars to fix it plus shipping one way. If you just order the normal ones you will have a bunch of extra wire to zip tie out of site.

Good morning TMS,

Took delivery of the new bezels yesterday afternoon. Fast shipping as I ordered them on Wednesday. Anyhow, they appear to be made out of solid ABS. Sturdy enough for fogs once mounted. My only gripe about them is the Brake Dust screens (which are part of the bezel, not separate piece) are not straight. Not a huge deal considering location and most wont notice.

Should get my Starkey Luxeon Fogs tomorrow and will follow up with an install should I figure out the mounting.

Cheers and thanks for viewing,

Those look like really nice pieces. I am interested to see how good the lights fit to it. They should look great once they are installed.
I never realized before that the two holes were different size.

Look good Jim! And thanks on the Avatar. It is still a work in progress. Those inserts are coming along well. Sorry I have not been to involved with my Fog project. Those reducers are taking a very long time getting here.

I might mess around with things this weekend.

Cheers

Hey guys, I ordered the bezel and PIAA mounting bracket last Monday but haven't received any emails or shipping info. My order still says pending. I've emailed the company but they haven't replied. Have you guys had any issues dealing with them?

Hey there CalSpec,

only recent order I've placed was a Shelby shift ball and it took forever. I do know those are made to order though. It's possible stock and personnel are limited. I'd give Justin a shout out and see what he can do to help. He's always been around by phone or email when I've needed answers.

Cheers and good luck.

I had emailed Justin last Friday and just got a reply from him a couple hours ago. He said they just got back in town today and were away for Mustang Week and had their National Championship race in Daytona. He said my order will ship out tomorrow. By the way, I was going to get the PIAA LP530 lights but they're 3.5 inches. Isn't the opening of the fog bezel 4 inches? Wouldn't there be a gap?
