I thought I lost my mind as my wife and I walked to a local restaurant in Hayesville NC last night. Just 4 or 5 cars from our parking spot was a white GT/CS with a black top and a personalized Great Smoky Mountains plate (which is what I have). I had to look back at my car to see if it was still there. Upon closer inspection I saw that the exhaust was aftermarket and the wheels as well. When I went around to the front there was no shaker hood. OK, I was seeing differences now but the car appeared to be in equal condition to mine and in all the years that have passed, I am surprised I had never seen it before. Car shows, cruise-ins, just nothing.
In the long shot the owner sees this thread, it would be cool to know a little about your history with the car. I wish I had my camera with me but I wasn't expecting a need to use it. I also wish I saw your VIN to see how close it might have been to mine. They actually WERE twins coming off the assembly line.

 

That's cool you usually never see your cars twin. Might be someone who was just passing through.

 

I am sure that was a little worrysome at first, like did someone steal my car? Now it probably just freaks you out a little, it would me. Kind of cool that you got to see it and take a look, but still just a little weird with the plate and similar mods.

Yeah, my heart skipped a beat or two. His personal tag was GTCS where mine is 07CS but with the same bear design on the Smoky Mountain plate. I don't even see that many regular '05 - '09 GT verts that are white with black tops. They are starting to disappear due to age apparently.
If he had the Shaker and one of these bears in his car then I would have panicked.

 

The stranger then had a very sharp looking 'Vert I think, even if missing the shaker.

I was wondering the same thing... I even reported the thing with the little red triangle ! when I saw it on 9/24 and nothing... So Why are the links still there? Are the admins away?

 

I don't know about the other mods but I was in Chicago this past weekend for a show and autocross.....lucky I am even getting to it today as I feel like I got hit by a train after the 11 hour drive yesterday following a busy weekend.
