Question for you black and blue folks...

If in 2008 ford makes a GT/CS with a different stripe color option, say white or silver, would any of you change yours?

for me, the black stipe is my second favorite part of the car. the only thing i have with it, is that i feel like if i have the side stripes plus la mans stripes (which i really would like to have) that would just be to many stripes, and it would look kinda tacky if the stide stripe didt match the la mans stripe. so, if they came out with different colors, no I would not change, but I can deffinately see the appeal of changing if you were to put la mans stripes on the car too.

What I like about my black CS is that people do double takes to see the stripes. At night when another cars beams hit you just right it looks

Stig on these boards has le mans stripes on his CS and I agree it can be a bit much, but his are subdued as the side stripes are.

I definetly would not change my black on black. I love that you can barely see it. That is what drew me to the CS in the first place.

A lot of folks don't notice the stripes on mine unless they really look for them. I like the fact that the black blends in with the blue. So no I wouldn't change them.

I also would not get a different color stripe, like others have said most people take a second look and usually say "I did not realize that there was a stripe" it is a great conversation starter from people who finally notice it. I have seen on another web page a black GT/CS with a white stripe and it looked kind of odd, not my cup of tea, so my answer would be NO.

I agree (well, I would, wouldn't I ) less is definitely more. I wanted Le Mans stripes, but very subtly done.

It works for me

Hmm, I just had a thought. They make a clear coat that dries with a flat appearance, they used it on "Project Old School" on Trucks. That'd be cool to just get stripes done with that, so the base color is the same, but the stripes are the satin clear, and the rest of the car is nice and shiney.

I might have to look into that idea.

I really like the subdued look of the black stripe on my vista blue GT/CS. Even if they had offered other color options, I doubt I would have changed it. Silver might look cool, and I would like to see it in person, but I still would have stuck with black.

In fact many shops wont even attempt it for that reason

Nice Stig!! The black matte stripes look sweet.

I was thinking about getting the same ones from Baltimore Street Mods but I was a bit hesitant.

I think I will now
