Premier Trim w/Color

If I order the GT California Special on a 07 Gt premium convertible I can add the Interior upgrade package but not the Premier Trim With color accent package.
My question is does anyone know a way of adding to the build the "wrapped and stitched IP brow and centre console lid, upgraded door rests (w/stitching). Is there a build code to add to the order?
I like the idea of the California Special package but would like to add a better looking dash top, door rests.

I ordered the aluminum pedals through the dealer as after market parts. I plan on ordering the leather center console in the future. You should be able to do the same thing.

I just ordered the center council arm rest and leather Emergency brake lever from him. He also has other parts. I too wish Ford had offered the Premier trim pkg. with the IUP, would have done both, but I am doing them one bit at a time.

Doug, I have the same scenario - I have the '07 GT/CS on order and since you can't get the Premier Trim package with the GT/CS package for whatever reason, have ordered the console lid, pedal covers and the e-brake handle - but to get the dash lid you have to order the complete dash at $1000.00+ and for the leather arm rest pieces you have to order the entire new door panels at $750.00+ .....it's not really an option to add those pieces.....shame since both are nice touches for the Mustang interior.....would be nice to find a way to order those pieces seperate..........

looks like I'll have to order the car and then try and retrim the arm rests, centre console myself. If this goes ok then I will try the dash top.

It's a shame they don't offer the Premier Trim Package with the CS because the PTP pieces are really nice!! I imagine they'll fix that next year.

Doug & Hotlap, if you guys have any questions about the e-brake install let me know as I just did the swap in mine. It's a bit of a job, takes about the same effort as swapping out the shifter. You'll be surprised when you get the part (if you don't have it yet) as it is the entire emergency brake assembly! When the box arrived, I was like "what the heck is this thing?" It weighed a ton! I thought Kevin had sent me the wrong part- LOL!

Tres - thanks for the offer - I'll PM you with questions if I have any.....I'm sure you looked - but is there any way to just swap out the leather covered piece of the handle so you don't have to change everything out?

Not that I could see. It appears to be bonded to the arm somehow. Also the arm is not easily removed from the brake assembly, so it appears the easiest route is to replace the whole darned thing (although that doesn't really qualify as "easy" ) Someone needs to come up with a leather sleeve that installs over the stock grip, that would probably achieve the same look but would sure be cheaper and easier!

Exactly, and I'm still asking myself why I didn't do that since I plan on installing the Hurst shifter too I may get the Shelby boot from you before I install the Hurst shifter, I think it would look better with the Hurst than the PTP boot. And the red stitching will go with my red interior

Tres - after spending some time checking it out, the leather grip is bonded to a plastic sleeve that slides over the end of the metal e-brake handle. I've tried to slide the plastic sleeve off - but it doesn't want to budge. Doesn't appear to be bonded (can't see any glue residue) but can't figure how it is attached to the handle. You can see inside the hollow shaft (where the release lever runs - but I can't see a tab or anything that appears to be a release for the sleeve...) and I'm afraid of damaging it by pulling any harder and the leather "skin" is bonded so well - probably destroy it trying to get it off.

Interesting! Oh well, it's not the end of the world to replace the whole assembly. If you're planning on doing a shifter anyway then replacing the e-brake will only take a few more minutes!

Ture and I'll be dynamatting the tranny tunnel anyway so I'll change it out then. Speaking of e-brake handles - my '05 rattled and buzzed so much that I put a piece of rubber along the metal edge that it rests on when not engaged and foam around the release rod (inside of the plastic housing) and it eleminated the noises.

On the build your own page, you cannot order the IUP and the Cali edition anymore.

Try ordering/selecting the IUP first then change the spec to the Cali.
Also it works if you opt for the black/parchement interior first then go back and change to black/dove if needed.
