Question Should I get the FRPP pwerpack?

I am itching to do some performance work on the wife's GTCS and I am looking at the powerpack kit. It is about the same price as a JLT w/ xcal and flowmasters.

And it would look better at a show with her car all FRPP when I pop the hood. I am also looking at adding the FRPP strut tower brace.

I have a JLT and Bama Xcal and love them. I am not planning on adding headers and or new gears in the rearend..... so now new or upgraded tune is needed.

Sounds like you have already talked yourself into it. Why ask the peanut gallery?

Personally I would like to see someone order this kit so we can get their impressions. I say go for it!

Well that was your first mistake. Don't order it from the dealer and install it yourself.

Another questions for this panel,

I have heard that when you take your car in for service, if they upgrade your tune or program, you have all kind of problems with your xcal. Is it the same as with the FRPP stuff?

As for the dealer, I would let them install it, if they don't geek over the aftermarket stuff.

How does the FRPP mufflers compair to the Flowmasters?

GRAYPNY,
When the dealer says he will install, and it will be covered under warranty fo 50k miles, then I'm all for it. Seemed like an easy choice to me. Still waiting for some one with inside info to tell me what the holdup is with the chip for this package.

I have the FRPP axelbacks to be installed this week, was going to have the FRPP CAI installed but they have not worked out the bugs for an 07 tune. Going with the K&N, dealer to install that too. Should be back by Wed. or Thurs. along with the new stripes Hold up for the chip??? a lot of things have changed for the 07 from the 05 and 06's. Seams the left hand is not telling the right hand what is going on with Ford. kinda a shame. Was thinking along the same line of everything Ford mfg. The purist in me. But if it don't work I'll make it work.

The FRPP exhaust is made by Borsa.

I went to look at ordering the same exhaust the GT-H and the Shelby GT have on them. The mufflers are on back order untill November, you can order the X-Pipe now. If my local dealer won't sell me a Shelby GT @ MSRP, i'm going to get that exhaust set-up for my '05 GT

One of the "rumors" I heard from a Ford saleman friend is that the GT-Hertz production
and now the pending Shelby-GT production is eating up most of the FRPP kits.
That could explain the backlogs.

It works out well for me, i'll know if i can get the Shelby GT at window by then. I don't think the dealer will do it, i have purchased seven cars/trucks from them. But lately, most of the dealers are turning there backs on there repeat buyers.
