New 08 GT/CS Here! / Hard to turn wheels??

OK first I got the 08 GT/CS today! Finally! Its beautifull and I love it. Now here is the wierd thing, I had a 2005 GT with the 17 inch prem wheels on it before. My CS has the 18 inch bullit wheels with the bigger tires. I have noticed that it is much harder to turn the wheel when you are not moving or going very very slow. I figure that it is because of the larger wheels and I was so used to my 05 GT. Is this the same out there for everyone else???

Yup, totally normal since you have a larger foot print.

Are you sure you have power steering? I would make sure it is operating correctly?

I don't know, mine didn't seem that much different, and I went from the 17" stock front to 18" 255 (instead of 235). You've got power steering, you really shouldn't feel much of a difference. I'd check (or have the dealership check) the power steering fluid. It's not making any noise, is it?

Due to all your excitement did you first start the engine that often will make it smoother. Congradulations
btw did you get a SYNC Bluetooth setup with that or specific vehicles.

I also got it undercoated, do you think any of that might have got up into the steering? I know some got up in the engine bay! I'm pretty upset about that! I can smell it almost burning after the engine gets hot and I'm getting out of the car. Any one else have issues like that?

Yeah, today a few friends from work and I were lookin at it and you can hear the power steering pump bypassing. If you rev the engine up you can realy hear the pump get louder, and the steering will get a bit better. I'm not risking beaking anything so I left it at work and taking it to the shop tomorrow. Just can't believe I waited over 6 months to drive the car for one day and its broken all ready! Heck it only has 70 miles on it! Wish me luck everyone, hopefully its not a major issue.

Took it to the Dealer, and yes its the pump thats bad. Since I'm overseas in the united kingdom, the pump should hopefully get here on monday or tuesday, and then they will fix it. I ment that zeboualt crap or whatever the name is. The funny thing is I do not remember asking for it, I think I got it for free. I never wanted it.

Yes 'undercoat' is still around. The material has changed though. It's not the old tar based stuff (usually)

I's a good idea to undercoat the car as they use a lot of salt on our roads here in the UK.
Good to see another GT/CS in the UK
