you could also try a solar-powered tender that plugs into my cigarette lighter...I bought it at my local Harbor Freight store and it works great!

As a side note, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that Ford thought to include the two small studs so a battery tender could be permanently wired in.

Nice touch Ford!

So I guess this means the cigarette lighter is always live, also very useful to know.

I'm not trying to be smart, but are they not on the S197's?

It is on my fox, thats what I have been using my tender on. I liked it because it was wireless so to speak, where it wasn't plugged into a wall socket (no wires hanging for anyone to trip over in the garage)

No offense taken. I know the lighter isn't always live on some cars I've had. I haven't had a reason to test it on my Stang yet. I too am looking for a battery tender. It would be great of one of our suppliers could put together a deal for us.

Maybe you're right , but I wouldnt be surprised at all if the battery finally kicked the bucket this time. I havent touched it since day one, the terminals looks clean and had no starting or related problems whatsoever. Never disconnected it or anything, its basically the way Ford left it. It's been in storage since Nov 2, maybe I'll go take a chance and see if she fires up right now. Wish me luck
