I have several people say we should have a GT/CS owner get together. I thought Las Vegas would be a great place. What does everyone else think?

 

Hmm, not a bad spot. Convention season ends about May so hotel rates go down during summer. However it is shockingly hot of course.

What month are you thinking about?

 

I have some vacation time in September. But with school in session that may not be a good time unless we do a weekend get together.

 

That sure would be a long drive from NJ. If this was a little more centralized, may get more people. A weekend would be a good idea.

 

Well, I would seriously consider it. I've made the trip many times from L.A.
I'd probably get a bra for my car, though! Too many damed pebbles!

Certainly a weekend would be best and have the best turnout.

 

I know it is waaaay to short of notice...but for the biggest centralized show in the us...

I say VEGAS, baby!

 

Vegas is cool (Well actually HOT!), but it sure would be a LONG drive from Jersey! LOL

 

Hence the world famous invention called jet aircraft! While it's nice to see people's cars in person or, if you plan to rent out Las Vegas Motor Speedway and drive a course to learn about your car (like Shelby did on Jan 11th) and you want your car there for that event.


The Shelby meeting, they sold 100 tickets for $699.00 a couple in about 25 minutes. Did not include airfare or car rental. People had thier cars TRUCKED from New Jersey for the weekend. They rented the dragstrip and LV motor speedway with instructors all day Saturday. I know because I went.

However I think this is about meeting each other. I mean, I would not consider driving my car to Atlanta to meet maybe 25 people.

Well, I agree that there are aircraft, but why would I go to meet a bunch of folks that have CS's and not have my car there as well. Seems kind of senseless to me. I want to see other people's Stangs and I would want them to see mine.

 

Vegas sounds awesome but not when you live in Michigan, too far for me to drive!!!

 

well, regardless of what location we choose, it will be too far for some of us.
