GT/CS hood pins? modern or retro?

Was searching the web for hood pins, found the modern ones with the wires, even the stick on ones (yuck) , then I found the retro ones from 68. They are turning hood locks and not really pins. Any opinions?

I was looking at the same thing for my wife's GTCS. I wish someone would have a set of faux twist lock pins for our cars. They have the faux hood pins w/ lanyards at CDC.

In reality they keep the hood from popping off at high speeds (like I'll have that problem). On "race cars" hood pins will be at the four corners and you take the whole hood off to work on it.
For me? Its looks, just like a lot of things on the cars. If we didn't care about looks we would all be driving boxes with wheels.

You might be able to cut the tops off a set and use the double sticky tape on them. My guess is you don't want to drill the hood?

I was also looking into twist-type hood locks, but so far the only ones that can be installed on the S197 Mustangs without having to modify anything are the ones from Fang Performance.

Go to Steeda...they have 2 types, the retro one with the wires, and another more modern version that looks much like the retro, but is functionally moe modern.
