I have the same exhaust. I love the look, but especially the sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they look great. Yes, they sound great... but at a price- drone. I had them. Get the ear plugs ready... although the CAI will help.

The drone will burn out after a few thousand miles... mine did.. at first 1800 RPM was killer on the ears and teeth..LOL

Doug, Are you sure they burned out, or maybe you've just gone deaf? LOL. Stingers definitely do sound good... they just hit a nerve with me...

I never did notice a drone that was unpleasant. I do just love the sound when i step on it though.

I went with the Corsa Axle Backs on my GT/CS Vert. Pricey but worth it.

What is it, physically speaking, that happens when an exhaust sound or characteristic changes after use?

I keep reading, "They will sound even better after a few thousand miles" about nearly every setup.

What changes due to use?

maybe "burned out" was not quite the correct term, they just mellowed out some and the drone is not so bad now... Deaf? yes I call it old man syndrome

Have the same since 30k miles. And yes, somehow the sound changes. (or you just get used to it )
