The GT-H hood is not functional which if I remember right is the same as the CS-6 hood. Shelby does have a functional deep draw hood, but I think you have to be a registered Shelby owner to buy one.

Heh. To get a CS hood, you have to prove of ownership of a Shelby with the VIN, CSM and be in the Shelby registry. Then, you can hand over the $1,299.99. Plus, it's made of fiberglass, so expect a bit of time and money getting the fit right.
For $500, I'd buy it. The black and gold stripes are because it's off of the Shelby GT-H. You could just repaint the entire hood black OR just sand and repaint the center section your favorite stripe color.

I believe that's only for the deep draw hood. You used to be able to buy the CS-6 hood from CJ Pony Parts. It was around $600.

I've seen them on ebay for around $ 600.00 also ,they are a few venders that still have them ,and YES you only need a Shelby vin number to get the deep draw hood ,,they look kinda the same, but are very different the deep draw hood will rub on V8 SC engines ,yes if you have or plan on super chargering your V8 engine Mustang GT ,your super charger pulley will rub on the ( Shelby deep draw hood ) ,,that is why I myself ,,just saying went with this one, I got alot of room for that big ( Kenny Bell blower / SC ) that will fit under this hood ,later down the road ,,
