2010 Belly Pan Fit

We get some hood flutter on the driver's side above 100 MPH also! Here is the pan on the 2010 GT. That is the one I was going to order from KC to fit on our 2007 GT/CS, but he's sadly now gone from the Ford dealership. Looks like it

P.S. Some 05-09 Stang owners have bought the new 2010 front piece also to replace the original and then modded it to fit on their earlier years.

Like others have said, adjust the bump stops and it takes away the problem..mostly.

The only time the hood on mine flutters is when a semi passes me on the opposite side of a road.

FWIW, I don't know if the belly pan would help. It looks like the issue is caused by the open area between the grill and the hood lip. It's like the front slats on the wing of an airplane and creates lift.

both parts are about $200. together. the peace that is more forward will not fit 05/09 S197s without extending it. the part with the vents/louvers is a direct fit and is the cheaper of the 2.I have both parts but have not installed the bigger forward part.As for the smaller part,i am on my second one.the first one saved my power steering line along the front of the Kmember.without it i am shore i would have lost a line and had a mess.In short the part called the heat shield is the one our cars should have had in the first place so get that at least!AR3Z6C038A HEAT SHIELD

Will have to now price this part at our local dealership. "RC"

The main reason I originally wanted this new belly pan part is. It was said the designers came up with this modification after air flow testing showed that it cut down the frontal undercarriage drag under there. And it is also helped to pull out some of the excessive heat from in the engine compartment area? With these improvements, was said to also increase the MPG's a bit at highway speeds?

Guessing that is probably why they are now on all of the newer Mustangs? "RC"

If I get a parts# and price from the Ford dealer parts department will let you know! I probably won't like the list price?

P.S. looks like part# AR3Z-6C038-A (heat shield) is correct at around $56.95. Thats not too bad.

I had horrible hood flutter on my GT/CS starting at about 80 mph. I played with the bump stops to no avail. I installed the Shelby hood pins and problem solved. However, I think I will throw on the belly pan as well.

A pair of hood plins are an easy fix along with adjusting the hood bumpers up to tighten the hood. As for the 138 mph maxing out, have you had the speed limit "limiter" turned off with a tune? I think all cars have this programed into the computer.

Yeah, my 08 GT/CS does this as well. About 80mph it becomes truly noticeable. I´ll have to do what the others have recommended here at some point as well. I´m not too worried it would actually fly up with it secured as it is, but it is a ¨WTF?¨ kind-of-thing.

Ah yes the dancing hood, scary at first sight, but air pressure is a force to deal with,I thought hood rubbers must be loose, but as tough as it is to close, that hood is down tight????

I know exactly what you are talking about with the shaking but the problem for me does not get worse but in fact goes away at around 95+
