Anyone experience melting with exhaust?

I just got some American Thunder Flowmasters from my boyfriend for Christmas! I just wanted to know since the CS rear bumper doesn't have exhaust cut-outs like the regular GT's do, will there be an issue with too much heat resulting in melting?

There are cut outs but they are a little smaller then a GT. When you mount the new flowmasters make sure they don't touch the body panel. The ends of those pipes get extremely hot in the summer.

I had the same pipes on my GT/CS before I took it to the dealer for a trade-in (getting a bullitt)... you'll LOVE the sound.

Just put them on last night! The sound(from the interior) is more apparent in lower rpm's.

My Bassani BX was a problem. I had to have the pipes cut and shortened going into the muffler to get them to sit far enough in for the body of the muffler not to touch. Unfortunately when I replaced my crossover pipe I didnt think to recheck the clearance on the mufflers.

Oh well, It melted a bit but its not really noticeable unless you get down and look at it up close.

In hindsight, as far as mufflers go, I would say if theres a different part number for the Shelby GT500 than for the GT then go with the GT500.
