'08 on it's way - Performance Package???

Just ordered an '08 GT/CS convert, performance white, black cloth roof w/soft boot,black/parchment interior, interior upgrade, ambient lighting, nav,SIRIUS, HID headlamps, alarm,3:55, no GT perfomance upgrade. Final price through x-plan with tax's, mv fees, gas tax, etc.. just over $39,000, which was several thousand less than the original quote from my dealer w/out x-plan.

Am second guessing the nav? Maybe should have gone w/Shaker 1000???

Doe anyone know if the Ford Racing Performance package (exhaust, blower, filter) requires premium gas?

I do believe it does. The Shelby which basically has that package requires the premium gas.

Someone with a shelby should be able to chime in and give a definite answer, but im pretty positive thats correct.

Anything with a blower is going to have to take premium gas. I have yet to see anyone run a blower on less than 93 octane.

Blower?

The FRPP pacs do not include a Blower, what are you talking about, maybe the Cold Air intake?
Yes the reflash does require premium fuel.

I took his "blower" as just a typo, figuring he would have had to look into the details to know what it came with..

Not sure what I'm talking about - haven't had a chance to look anything up yet. My dealer mentioned Ford Racing parts and a package that upgrades the performance (I thought he said exhaust, blower, filter) but I could be wrong........

check out the FRPP site: http://www.fordracingparts.com/home/home.asp

Their Performance Package does require Premium Gas. the FRPP tune that goes with this is a mild tune and most people suggest that you go with a tune for a good tuner. If you search this site, you will see many threads about this. The four that are most mentioned are Brenspeed, Bamachips, VMP and Tillman tunes.
