05stangkc's RHD GT/CS! It Could Happen!

I have been emailing with Chris from New Zealand on the Possabilty of Him Purchasing My GT/CS. Here is a Pic of a Redfire Stang He Sent me With Right Hand Drive! My Car would Have to be Converted upon Arrival! And We Think some of our Mods are Tough!

Enjoy,

KC

Have to agree there LOL

I give our Kiwi friend much respect for even thinking of taking on such an involved project. I bet it would be pretty cool to have probably the only GT/CS in the entire country

I don't think I could do it either. I feel uncoordinated just thinking about it!

Its not any different really. The "H-Pattern" is the same, with 1st being top left. Just have to get used to using your other arm and hand for shifting.

Is it the law in New Zealand that you have to convert LHD imports to RHD? Lots of LHD cars in other RHD countries that aren't converted.

I think you would be surprised how fast we can adapt to new things. I have driven a street sweeper (double controls) and became completly used to the rhd within days. As for shifting left handed, I don't think it would be that hard for me, just a matter of getting used to doing it that way, looking over your left shoulder all the time takes some getting used to.

btw, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy driving to all my new mustang friends.

was over in the UK a few years ago with some of my co-workers... It is not hard to shift Left-handed as the gears go the same way, but problem is that you want to reach over with your right hand. We kept smaking the door when we went to shift!

Yeah I know what you mean, I have been living here in the UK for over 5 years now. I have mostly had my american cars, but I have had a few right hand drive cars. I so used to it, that I can go from right hand drive car to left hand drive car with no troubles at all. The only stupid thing I do is when I would drive the right hand drive car, I would go to get in the left side door
