I need help on this decision.
I have a 07 Alloy GT and I cannot decide between three choices:
I'm adding a Hood Scoop (Like GTAP)
I can either have it custom painted with flames, with mirror covers and spoiler painted too
Or leave it plain and add the Polished Chrome Billet Grille (upper and Lower)
Or add the hood scoop plain and no Billet Grille
What do you think the flames would look like on the Alloy???
Geez this modding is harder than I thought.

i vote no hood scoop either unless you put the shaker scoop. the scoop looks like an afterthought. just kind of tacked on there. but if you are set on getting it, dont put flames. the billet would be good if it is the cervini/shelby gt-h style. dont put the one that fits around the existing horse and fogs.
of course it is just my opinion.

Hey! First post ...
Nice pics!
I'll be purchasing my 2007 GT and day now ... finally selected the color:
ALLOY GREY
It was a tough decision! Anyways ... The hood scoop. The factory fake scoop is just added onto the hood rather than the hood going over the scoop, right? If so, the hood has to modified, right? Thanks for ANY input! While I'm at it ... stripes. Any recommedations? White could be a bit much.
Thanks,
Charles

Yes the factory scoop is an add on. It attaches to the hood by drilling holes and attaching the hood scoop to the hood. I was in a hurry to get my Alloy so I am adding the hood scoop on next week and the exhaust tips and plenum cover myself. I like the look of the hood scoop (GTAP) some do some don't. For me I want it small and unobtrusive. You will love the Alloy....

Thanks for the reply! What's GTAP? The scoop manufacturer(sp?) I need to go look at some ALLOY painted 'stangs because it looks so close to black, at least on the computer. Any comments on the ALLOY GREY vs. BLACK comparison?

shucks, when i bought my car, there was a black convertible california special right behind it. i should have snapped a pic to show the side-by-side difference. alloy is a very dark color but it definately isnt black. i got a lot of compliments from my club members about the color.

sound wave is right if you want those options GTAP you should order your stang with them....I couldn't wait and had to have the one on the lot and I have spent around $500.00 duplicating the GTAP package......but its only money and I have enough shoes and purses......LOL...I had a Black Magnum and black looks so good when its clean but dang spent alot of time cleaning it.
The Alloy is alot easier to keep clean than the black but it does show water spots. So my vote as a former black car owner is Alloy is the way to go.....best of both worlds..And so you all know I went with the hood scoop with no flames and no billet grille .....and it looks good.....no regrets...so thanks to all who voted.
