Those of you with Chamois interoirs or stripes it puts a brown tint on the color of the car IMO

Too scared of the other drivers, yes, some of the people around here drive their trucks and four wheel drive cars like they're immune from gravity and Newton's laws of physics - you see plenty of em in ditches. To be honest, I'm astonished at how well this car handles in the snow. I seriously wasn't expecting it - maybe I should check and see if they accidentally put snow tires on it or something. Coming back from dinner there was already 2"s in the ground and not much in terms of snow plowing.

I was surprised by how bright the fogs were too - no HIDs that I'm aware of, the car is absolutely bone stock from the dealer. It is right now 10 hours old. Although HIDs are the one option I wish it had.

MustangFreak - Yeah, that's the kinda snow we've been getting since about five minutes after I signed the checks over for my car today. It's now about 4" deep and still coming fluttering down. Was that picture taken in Texas? I overheard one of my cousins complaining about Houston weather the other day... something about mid seventies and being cold. lol.

That pic was taken in Abilene TX, on thanksgiving day weekend.

That is one nice Mustang you have put together, Dixie Flatline. Very nice job. I like the pictures too. The one close up on the lights where you can see the snow going by looks pretty cool. I hope the weather cooperates a little more with you soon so you can get out and enjoy it.

Thanks BossDawg! Even though the weather hasn't been cooperating (about 6" of snow in 24 hrs) I still managed to put close to a hundred miles on it over the past day or so. It's a great car - even at 25 mph with sorta plowed roads.

I can only imagine what it'll be like when the roads dry up. Hrmm... maybe a road trip is in order!

BossDawg, I wasn't considering polished 18"ers, but after seeing them on your Alloy GT, I'm tempted. Are they difficult to keep clean? And those painted mirror covers add an awesome understated splash. Are those from CDC as well?

So far the 18" aren't too bad to take care of. As far as the mirrors go, I actually bought another set of mirrors from Ford and had them painted to match the body. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Now that is a really good idea!

As for wheels, I'm waiting to get a set of those 18" charcoal satin Euro-Flange Bullitts from the 08 Bullitt... can't decide between flashy or stealth.

Thanks. My thinking behind getting another set of mirrors was that if something were to happen to the painted ones (giant rock chip or something) and I had to have them removed and fixed then I'd at least have the original mirrors to put on in the mean time.

As for the wheels, I don't think you can really go wrong with either flashy or stealth, this color really lends itself to either look. Have you looked at the anthracite bullitts from americanmuscle.com? I think those would look really good with Alloy. Just a thought.

Funny you should mention that, I was drooling over them earlier this afternoon.

But I'd still like to see pricing on those wheels on the 08 Bullitt...

It's close enough, but I think Alloy is both a blessing and a curse: goes with all sorts of things, but for indecisive numbskulls like myself it's nervewracking.

I love the paint job. I was thinking about doing something similar with ghost flames.

Did your dash come blacked out or did you do something special to it?

Can you you show us some additional photos of the speaker install (and come out and do mine for me )?

Very nice!!!
Thank you for the compliments.
1. The dash did come blacked out like this. It is basically a no frills stock charcoal interior.
2. Unfortunately I didnt take many pictures during my installation and fabrication of the box and components. it was alot of trial and error using carboard and figuring out airspace. once i had the box build i then started to think about the design of the rest of it with the components i have. the box is actually behind the carpeted peice that you see. It is just a thin peice of plywood to cover the whole space. The amp setup I cam up with bcause i wanted a unique way to display then without taking up all the room that laying them down would take. The Ford Emblems in the outside amps are actually from a car parts store and they happened to be the perfect size. As for coming out to do yours, I am from California originally, but unfortunately its a little hard to get time and money to make it back out there on a regular basis...lol

How about these?

I think these would look hot on an Alloy Mustang.

mhconley - Those are the black chromes, right? Yeah the color would definitely look killer on an Alloy. I'm partial to the rim look from those Euro-Flanges on the '08 Bullitt though - the clean line of the contrast sets them off nicely IMHO.

But if I couldn't get those wheels off the '08 Bullitt I'd definitely consider those black chrome Shelbys. Darn, decisions getting harder, not easier.

I like the delineation of those wheels, too. I've never cared for the black wheels on black car look. It just blurs into a big black blob. But there's something about those black chrome's that keep drawing me back.

Well, after 2 months of waiting after ordering back on 11/5, my 08 Alloy GT is finally home. Nothing too fancy, I'm a meat and potatoes kinda guy. Only thing I was bit worried about after I ordered was the new 18" fanblades. Kinda had my heart set on the older version, but the new ones with the painted inserts almost matches the car color to a T. Rims look lots better in person than in pics, especially this crappy camera phone pic. Oh well. I'm just happy to be driving a GT again.

Sorry its taken me so long to responde Sound Wave, been MIA from the forums for a while.

I like the looks of the grill, but one of the fogs sits slightly crooked because of some metal in front of the radiator. You could always cut it just enough for a perfect fit, but I never did anything about it because I lack access to the necessary tools at the moment.
