I have not been able to tell what they are calling the red color. Is it torch red, Colorado red, or what? I wonder when the paint supply stores will have that color ready to purchase.

Thanks crazyhorse. I have been holding off on painting my 70 mach 1, because I wanted to wait for the 07 Shelby red. I did not know if they would have a special red. Sounds like I should be able to purchase that color right now.

I wish they would have at least used SVT Red (isn't that what's on the GT?).

I can say this much, when you see Torch Red Mustang on the road.....they stand out amongst all the other colors. Now of course, the smokey's can see them all the better too. (Do you think there's any truth to the old wives tail that "red" vehicles get most of the tickets?)

I can say this from some of my friends who are police officers...

The red ones stick out so if they are zipping in and out of traffic or just going faster your eyes are natural drawn to them. That is why the red light means stop...people notice that color more than others.

So they probably do get more tickets, them and the guys with yellow.

Psychologically, red is an aggressive color as well. It makes people more agitated, aggressive, etc

their is no such thing as "SVT red" the 05 GT has both redfire and torch red, redfire is alot better imo because it changes and flips up close but looks maroon from a distance. SVT uses both redfire and torch red along with rio red.

Thanks Arboc. That looks reliable. Torch red it is. Wow, I waited all that time for that. I sure thought they were going to come out with a special Red just for the 07. About the time I paint my Mach 1, they will have the new red out.

This is directly from the media site.

The stripes come in a range of four colors (Performance White, Vista Blue, Tungsten and Satin Silver) that, with one exception, can be matched with at least three of the seven available exterior colors. The exception is Vista Blue, which can be paired only with a Performance White exterior.

Exterior colors include Colorado Red (which can be paired with Performance White or Satin Silver stripes), Alloy (Satin Silver or Tungsten), Vista Blue (Performance White or Tungsten), Performance White (available with Vista Blue or Tungsten stripes), Tungsten Grey (Satin Silver), Valencia (Tungsten) and Ebony (Performance White or Tungsten stripes).

Well thanks Crazyhorse. It all boils down to being the same exact color, but I will call it Colorado red. Sounds newer.
