The long wait is a good thing.

My original preference was black w/no stripes. Seconds thoughts began to creep in so I considered the white w/blue stripes. Then I recalled what it was like to have a white car. It's a great looking combo but the housekeeping duties are as extensive as the black if not more.

So, (apparently having more female hormones than male hormones ) here is my new list:

1) Vista Blue w/white stripes
2) Torch Red w/white stripes
3) Alloy Clearcoat Metallic w/no stripes

 

SOLID BLACK SOLID BLACK SOLID BLACK.



I think I would choose black w/ no stripes.

 

How about Black with Black stripes

 

Somewhat underwhelmed. Hope that; as I will not pay a stupid ADM (+10k) the 08 has something special colorwise other than the orange. This is the one I really wanted

 

I thought the Alloy picture looked pretty mean.

 

I wish they offered the Shelby in Redfire. That's a nice color

 

When I first saw the "cobra painter" and then saw some of the first pics... well... I liked black on black... Red and white stripes is just "everybody"... then white and blue stripes and I was in love... but is another "everybody" combo... so I also remember Black but with white stripes... then I wanted someting silver or grey with white stripes... but naaahh... and I said... If I could have any shelby... what color would be the one I wouldnt like? and for really... I could have any color and stripes... but for me... I saw graber orange and at the begining it was only available with tungsten stripes... and it looked not good... I said to myself, if they would put orange and white stripes... it would look nice... some time latter it came... Graber Orange and White Stripes... WELL THATS THE COMBO FOR ME!!... from all the colors and all the changes Ive made... I can Stick with that one!!

Do what Jack Roush did with his personal Stage 3 -- Black with matte black stripe. Makes for an understated look while it is a change to the all black.

Also see a Black GT with Redfire stripes in my neighbourhood. It is awesome. Grabber Orange with a matte black / navy stripe would be a different idea. Since Orange is a similar palette to yellow, it might work.

Must say, the White with Sapphire Stripe is a killer look for a Race Car too.

If one is a trenscendant type, the Dark Grey with Black Stripes like my Jackie is a well received one too.

 

My 'vert is Black, but if Alloy had been available that would have been my choice.

Mine will come to me with no stripes so that I can have them painted on. Those vinyl stripes just look so chincy...I can't believe they are going so cheap with that.

 

I never thought I'd say it, but I think I like the Grabber orange coupe with tungsten stripes

 

I also love the orange with the gray stripes. I would even order that one with the light graphite interior, with dark charcoal cut ins. Also the Windviel Blue with light metalic silver stipes would be awsome, again with light graphite interior, charcoal cut ins. I wonder if the custom plates with BadAss are taken in all 50 states. That would Rocketh. Erik

Do you guys have any predictions for new colors for '08?

There has not been a green offered for the last four model years. It would knock me off my seat if DHG would be one them.

 

my choice is Highland green with whit stripes...to bad they don't offer highland green

 

Would you wait or trade it in?

If no DHG for '08... i say get the alloy Grey

 

I have chosen black with no stripes--ordered it last week, should be delivered by August. A couple people I talked to before ordering tried to talk me in to stripes, and for a moment I considered white with blue stripes, but it was a little too "Charlie's Angels" for my tastes.

So I went with my original instincts: black. Just black. I think it will be WAY hot.

So far, I've found a few others who agree, but still many have said "everybody's gonna ask where the stripes are". My response: let them ask. If they can catch me.

 

George, you are going to hurt all the legend lime owners' feelings.

No predictions for 2008, just hopes.

 

Galaxie: There is no waiting and even the wife would be on the trading block for a DHG!

AFBLUE: You're right, Legend Lime is a green but is too light, sort of a pastel color just like Windveil Blue, IMO. I was thinking of darker greens similar to Tropic Green or DHG.

 

I have a 07 Shelby on order,but do not have delivery date. My wife and I started out Red/white stripe and change to screaming yellow they do not have. Now we have change to Vista blue/white stripes. Hope this is the last change.
