A weekend of attention

Story #1:

I am minding my own business and observing the speed limit. One of the city's finest happens to be driving in front of me. All the sudden, he abruptly changes lanes, allows me to pass, gets behind me, and turns on the red, white, and blues:

"License and registration... (I obliged) ... why are you following me?
- I wasn't.

... What's up with the engine raving then?
- That's the best way it shifts. ( )

... Where are you headed?
- The BP station on your left.

<long stare>

... So, what's under the hood?"
-

Story #2:

On the way back home. I'm driving on the middle lane at 35 mph with a late model Chevy 4-door pickup truck in front and a 4 - 5 car cushing. The guy switches to the right lane, I start to pass, look on the mirrors, the guy's arm is extended out the window and gives me the finger.

So much for going to the gas station.

I can hardly wait for the Camaro guys to be surfing ebay.

He just wanted to chat about your ride. Consider it a compliment.

Maybe he was concerned about your driving abilities with such a performace vehicle he felt it was in the best interest of the public to pull you over. You know with all that engine reving, maybe he thought you had missed a shift or two

he he...reminds me of when I had first gotten my Stang and it was bone stock. I was driving down a trendy street in front of a club. There was a bunch of cops in front of it for some reason and facing towards the club. I don't know WHAT got into me, but I revved it up as I drove past and simultaneously every single one of them turn their heads.

I got pulled over last night on some BS "following too close." Trust me, I was not following that close. I wouldn't want a rock chip on my car.

I think he just wanted to see my car.
