Edmunds like most of the major car magazines race the car as is stock. Many of the Mustang magazines tend to change tire pressure, remove weight here and there etc....... and this boosts up the stats significantly. 13.01 does sound about right for this car. Remember it is the heavier convertible model.
As far as a stock Mach1 running close to 13.01 your dreaming. The times typically recorded for a stock Mach1 range between 13.5- 13.8 either way the GT500 is much faster .5 seconds is a big deal in 1/4 mile times.
