Whoever gets credit for this can also claim the "I AM NOT THE SHARPEST KNIFE IN THE DRAWER" award. Look at it closely:

Ya know, there was a reason not to put stripes on the vert edition. Guess this Ford Dealer sells more Toyota's. What a shame!!! Hopefully whoever scores this will find they are only vinyl, and delete them.

Only the stripes. It might be small detail but it shows how much or as in this case, how little some dealers know about the products they sell and how some of their ignorant desisions can affect sales.

Just another example that they don't even know what they have. 21 photo's and not one of the engine bay.

If I could afford it, it would be worth the admin fee just to get those stripes removed!!

Another example of these volume cross market dealerships enneptness.

Every dog has his day.

When I was looking to buy a GT500 this dealer http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...QQcmdZViewItem
had three of them, they were cocky and a bunch of snobs about it. Two months ago they had 14 Foose conversions, now they have 27. That's quite a chunk of change to have sitting on a dealer lot.

So I called.

I asked if there was some flexibility on the price of a Foose. This time the same guy wasn't cocky or a snob as before. As a matter of fact, he was one of the most pleasant salesman I've ever spoken to.

I think I'll buy my next car from this guy.

Geo, what a shame...I hope whoever buys that car - realizes the stripes are "off" before he drives off the lot....shame.

My local dealer in 1000Oaks did the same thing to a stunning black GT500 vert....he had a single wide gold stripe PAINTED down the middle of the hood and rear...my thoughts were that he ruined the car and if he had to add a stripe - wouldn't it have been much easier to have ordered the original stripe kit so the buyer would have the option of going back to original.....and he still wants $70K+ for the car

..reminds me of when I worked at a car dealer long time ago doing prep and detail...sales weasel absolutely insisted on getting pinstripes stuck on this car, "set it off, make the deal solid"....middle of winter in Pennsylvania...guy showed up, took one look and said they had a 1/2 hour to get rid of them or he was walking...sales weasel went out with a heat gun, kneeling in wet snow in his $300 suit and took 'em off....
