Almost lost the rear end of my pony today

I'm coming home from a job today at about 2:30 PM.
I'm traveling on a two lane state highway.
I get to this section of highway that is an uphill grade for about 1-1/2 miles.
I always jump in the left (fast) lane and cruise along.
The trucks always slow down quite a bit on this stretch of road.
Traffic is moderate.
I'm tooling along about 80 and maintaing my 5 car length rule from the car in front of me. As we are passing slower traffic an idiot doing maybe 55 changes lanes in front of the guy ahead of me. The guy in front of me jumps on his brakes and I do the same. He almost nails the idiot, and having my 5 car lenght buffer I slow down very quickly, but easily.
The guy behind me (dirving a Caprice or some big car like it) did not see me slow down until the last second.
Thinking quickly, he jumped to my left (median side) and pulled up to me nose to nose.
He finally slowed down enough to jump back behind me.
When traffic cleared out I jumped in the right lane and let him pass me.
I gave him the big

My pony is in the garage with it's butt still in tact.
