Would you like one?
We can accomodate one which would be appropriate and suitable for your talents. We might even get you a C/T.

I owned three SVT vehicles & all were great. But compared to SRT, Ford is more talk than production. How many years has it been since an SVT vehicle has hit the streets? Or, as they say in Texas, more hat than cattle.

Ford stopped SVT production since 2004 model year. I don't understand why. It could be that they were working on the GT 500. It's similar to what happened in the 2000 model year when there were no Cobras produced, only Cobra R's

the Ford GT drained SVT's resources and in the end is also why the L concept wasn't executed.

Didn't Saleen actually manufacture the GT not Ford?

No, Ford manufactures it at the Wixom, MI plant.

The Ford GTs were partially assembled at both Saleen Specialty Vehicles and Ford Wixom facilities. The SVT resources were most directly involved in the engineering effort, which is why it was not possible to assign them to develop multiple vehicles at once.

UPDATE: Go here to see a video about the construction. It mentions both locations, as well as one in Norwalk, OH, where the frame structure is built.

Let's remember that this is a 3,920 pound car at least. A Mustang GT with supercharged 8.5lb 485hp weighing only 3,540 pounds with all the same brake, suspension, and aerodynamic additions will simply be at least 2-4 10ths of a second faster than the Shelby I'm afraid. Erik
