Shelby ?

I haven't been here in a while so I hope this is in the right place. But does anyone know if Ford is taking X-plan on GT500's. I'm finally selling my 93 Cobra & 93 Vert to get this one. Thanks.

MSRP, no X-Plan I am aware of but it won't hurt to try. Perhaps you can get lucky.

They are still commanding $15,000 - $30,000 over MSRP in California. I asked about X-Plan at Galpin when I picked up my '08 GT convertible in February and the sales manager just laughed.

No x-plan that I know of either. I just got one on Saturday for $2000 over MSRP but I got a great deal on my GT trade in so it was worth it. Perks of living in the midwest and not in a really big city.

Congrats on your new GT500 buddy. Not only in the midwest can one get a good deal on a GT500. The benefits of working at a small dealership who knows the market. I sold our last GT500 we got to my friend for only $2,000 over MSRP (while every other dealer around is still at $10,000-$19,000 ). Any place that is marking them up, for anything more than $4,000, then they don't want to sell the car, and would rather look at it every day.

I still lurk around here... But the whole $10,000 - $19,000 over MSRP is what landed me in a Corvette.... Food for thought.

Still love Mustangs though and my trusty ol 89 LX 5.0 is in my son's hands.

Most small Midwest dealers will order you a 2009 for MSRP

I think it REALLY depends on where in California. There are dealers here in So Cal that have them at MSRP. Gas prices are making it tough to sell these vehicles right now.

The dealership I work for has sold the last several GT500's (very quickly) for just a couple grand over MSRP, and probably no surprise that we're sold out at these reasonable prices close to sticker. Ford is not offering A/D/X/Z plan on these yet, nor any incentives (rebates or special APR financing). The dealers still trying to get five figure ADM's are just plain rediculous. GT500's are out there at MSRP with some looking.

No, they are NOT selling for 15 - 30 over in CA. Heller Ford in San Diego, for example, sold two last week for $1,000 under MSRP. You picked the one moronic dealer of them all, Galpin.

A few weeks ago, my salesman said he would sell me a GT500 for $5k over. Everybody else $10k. He acted like he was doing me a favor.
Last week a friend of mine saw a GT500 (at another dealership) for only $2k or $3k over.

I bought mine for MSRP last June with no special hook ups or dealer connections. ADMs are mostly dead, negotiate hard
