As much as it will pain me to sell my Shelby Slot, I can't pass up the opportunity for profit. That said, I will have to order and purchase the car myself and then sell it as a private sale. So, what do you guys think is the most marketable combo for the Shelby. I am thinking it would be a red convertible with black top and interior and white striping (like most of the media shots). I had intended to buy a black coupe with stripe delete, but it will have to wait for '08. Hopefully, the profit will pay most of the MSRP for a new one!

You could sell your slot on eBay. That way, the buyer can pick out their own color combo, etc.
Some dealer is already up to $15k over MSRP, and it is still 4 days away:

What's is even more sickning is the reserve is STILL NOT MET. Just what are they expecting?

I agree with Crazyhorse. How is this person willing to sell a slot, or car for highest $$$ any different than a dealer selling to highest bidder???

We, the consumer, should fight against markups and needless profits (read gouging). If a dealer gets $500 to $1000 over, fine. To push it to the extreme like we are hearing about is almost criminal.
For a consumer to try to capitalize on it is not just criminal, it is unethical. It's like purse snatching a 90 year old lady. Hope you enjoy her Soc. Sec. check.
