There’s no guarantee that Ford will build a 2008 Shelby
due to their current financial woes.

Is this a new low for Ebay Dealers?

what, that's all!?

(sigh) What else is new? I see the feedback is "100% positive" - it must mean 100% positive this is complete horses**t! When will Ford ever learn that it is not only the lack of products people actually want to buy that hurts it, but also crappy dealers that make people NOT want to buy a Ford as well?
That dealer can do something to himself, alright - and it sure isn't "sell" to himself! (HINT - substitute "sell" with 4 other letters and delete "to"...)

It seemed like the EBay ADM had gone down to around ~$10,000-$12,000 around the holidays, now it seems to have risen again to ~$15,000 plus.
I just hope it is not going up again due to BS like this dealer is spouting.

The order was placed on Oct. 2, but the winning bidder will be able to choose exterior color and other options?? How's that work? What did they order?

Hey Brad, long time no read.

Until the car is pulled for production, the order can be changed. I assume this is their tactic.

On that note, anyone hear when the '08 order bank opens yet?

mj, I, too, am surprised by the recent rise in ebay bids. Not many are selling, but, the ones that are seem to be going up.

Hey, guys! I think the banks open mid-march (again). Can't remember where I saw that, so it's not "gold". ebay is discouraging with it's "on the moon" pricing, and this dealer- in particular- sickens me. But what can you do? I guess this is "free speech" being abused ...

I have been monitoring ebay over the last couple of days and it seems that the masses are stopping at $55,100 - or about $10,000 over MSRP. All of the "buy it now or best offer" prices above that are not getting any bids. There was one that expired earlier this afternoon at $56,100. There is one on there now for "buy it now at $60,000" and the bids stop at $55,100. Maybe things are cooling again b/c the Holidays are over!

I think that most of the buying public does not realize that SAI & Ford have a 3 year contract on these...and their dealers are certainly not broadcasting this fact.

Did you happen to scroll down a little on the EBAY page for this auction???
It sounds like a good deal to get a GT500 for $16000...but that's the amount OVER MSRP to buy the car.
Custom order your new
Shelby Mustang GT500!
This auction is for the amount OVER the MSRP on a new 2007 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500.

Wow. Sounds like some dealers have a bit of a grudge against Ford to print something like that. Still, do they not realize that if they're not part of the solution, they're part of the problem?

Actually, Ford could construe that comment of theirs as libelous.

Ford could certainly find plenty of excuses to start yanking franchise rights, although they would have to be willing to go through years of litigation and the money that would cost.
