There is a "Sun City" development in my town . It has got to have the highest concentration of late model 'Vettes in the nation.
Wierd.
It's a kind of "late life crisis" car. Not sure about the demographics ,but the old folks love their corvettes...the Mustangs draw the younger crowd.

Erik try a CAI with your GT then you'll love it even more, but I warn you of self disipline ! no joke and that reproducing the hesitation thing that members talk about went away when I put on a Cold Air Intake . Cheers Ed Nice ride you've got there !

A Mustang isn't a sports car, and a Corvette isn't a GT. Just because some portions of price/performance overlap, they really are different tools for different jobs.
I wonder why Ford didn't use an aluminum block for this, though....

Lets face it, the terminator Cobras with some mild massaging are running low 12s and some in the high 11s. I think this car is a little heavier, but it also has more power to start with. When the people who know what they're doing get their hands on it, this will be a deep 11 possibly even a high 10 second car and I'm willing to bet it won't need very much work to achieve it. Biggest drawback is weight. Also, if you've seen any pictures of the engine bay, you'll notice immediately how small that air box is this baby is breathing through. I bet with the right intake system, it picks up quite a bit of power right away. Pulley, tires and CAI should produce some great results.

So what if it is faster, would you be seen in a
Chevy?????????????
If you are buying the car for numbers than get a KIA.
Fork the numbers. I can guarantee you that if I put a new Vette and a new Shelby in a parking lot and counted the number of lookers the Shelby would win that number hands down.
Heck, my GT Vert still turns heads. I like that number better anyway.
