Let the crying begin, GT-500 accident.

Not mine, but it makes me sad

Project time!

I could only wish that I had the funds for a engine swap.

What a shame, just like watching a Picasso go up in flames.

There's one guy who won't be bragging about his driving skills or street racing adventure.

Wow, didn't someone do an exterior conversion on this forum that looks just like that car?

It's sad when any pony goes down.

Seeing the first pic I thought, "eh, not too bad, could be fixed..."

Scroll down to pic #2...

At least the engine survived!

The damage suggests at least two major impacts. Those will alter the design and characteristics of the smallest parts. I doubt that engine is a prime candidate for a blue print.

Sad. You reckon the insurance will re-imburse him for the adjusted sticker price?

Nope. This dude lost himself a bucket of money. Hope he came away okay. Clearly a serious impact.

If he had collectors insurance he might be ok... I checked with Grundy's and they will cover a GT500 even if it is the only car in the collection...

What a shame. Probably just got it too. Racing or showing off I guess without yet knowing cars characteristics.

Gap insurance is the only sure thing that guarantees that he will get replacement value. ITwill NOT recover anything above MSRP. On the good side too he won't be making payments on a car he can't drive.

Insurance Company gets the car so he can't even sell it for parts
